1. US News:

Notable news about America:

In the US: More than 1.1 million cases have been recorded, with at least 65,000 deaths.

A second round of Covid-19 cases is "inevitable" come fall, the nation's top infectious disease doctor said, as people increasingly try to resume regular life and more states ease or lift their stay-at-home orders.

Many states in the United States eased restrictions on May 1 even as fatalities increase. Meanwhile, the US Food and Drug Administration yesterday granted an emergency use of Remdesivir to treat patients with the most severe Covid disease.

Georgia's governor of US said they could reopen. More than 50 restaurateurs said in a newspaper ad they're not ready.

Owners of more than 120 of Georgia's most popular restaurants announced this week they won't be reopening their doors just yet, despite getting a green light to do so from the governor.

The state has, so far, had more than 27,490 infections and at least 1,169 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University.

New York state will donate 7 million more cloth masks to those most vulnerable to coronavirus, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Saturday during a news conference. The masks will be given to nursing homes and the poorer communities, Cuomo said.

The governor also announced the state will distribute $25 million to food banks across the region.

The numbers: The novel coronavirus has infected roughly 3.3 million people and killed more than 239,000, according to Johns Hopkins University.

3. Vietnam News:

In the last 16 days, there have been no cases in the community.

According to an update from the Ministry of Health, up to May 2 this morning, Vietnam continued to not receive new cases, the total number of Covid 19 positive cases was still 270.

To date, 219 people have recovered, and 51 are being treated at nine medical facilities. In particular, the number of cases with negative test results for the first time is 9 cases, the number of cases with negative test results 2 or more times is 6 cases.

4. Spanish news:

Spain is the largest outbreak in Europe and the second largest in the world, recorded a total of 242,998 cases and 24,862 deaths, up 3,648 and 281 cases respectively in the last 24 hours.

UK is currently the fourth largest outbreak in the world with a total of 177,454 cases and 27,510 cases, the third highest in the world, an increase of 6,201 and 739 cases compared to the previous day.

British Health Minister Matt Hancock yesterday announced that the country had reached its goal of conducting 100,000 Covid 19 tests every day and said it was a final step towards lifting restrictions in the country.

6. Spanish News:

The Spanish Ministry of Health said the number of deaths from Covid-19 in the country reached 25,100 after recording an additional 276 deaths last night.

Currently the total number of Covid-19 cases in Spain has increased to 216,582, compared with 215,216 cases on May 1.

Spain is one of the strongest outbreaks of Covid-19 in the world, but it has passed the peak of the epidemic and gradually relaxed restrictions on social blockade.

7. French News:

France is currently the fifth largest outbreak in the world with 167,346 cases and 24,594 deaths, an increase of 168 and 218 respectively from the previous day.

The country will be divided into red or blue areas when the blockade order is relaxed.

The division depends on three criteria: The first is the number of new cases in 7 days, the second is the capacity of local intensive care units, the third is effectiveness in testing and according to Track patient exposure in each location.

9. Russian News:

Over the past 24 hours, Russia is a new hot spot in Europe where a record number of new infections has increased to a record 7,933 cases and 96 deaths, bringing the total to 114,431 and 1,169 cases, respectively. 10. Singapore News:

Singapore is currently the largest outbreak in the region with a total of 17,101 cases and 16 deaths. A positive sign is that the number of daily infections in the country has been declining over the past few days.

The government extended the extension of social isolation to June 1. Singapore has decided to extend the period of full isolation for all foreign workers in the construction sector at 43 additional housing blocks 2 weeks, until May 18.

11. Germany News: Updated on May 2.

Germany is currently the fifth largest outbreak in Europe and the sixth largest in the world with 164,077 cases and 6,736 deaths; increasing by 1,068 and 113 respectively from the previous day.

The German government has allowed shops and small businesses to reopen last week. The country is preparing to reopen churches, museums and zoos.

12. Indian News:

According to PTI on May 2, 122 police officers from the battalion of 31st Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) India stationed in Mayur Vihar, east of Delhi, tested positive for covid 19.

The main source of infection in this battalion is thought to be a nursing staff who returned to duty on April 7 after a leave of absence and the CRPF medical department only required a 5-day quarantine compared to the deadline 14 days as recommended by the Indian Ministry of Health and Welfare.

There are currently no test results for 112 of the 480 soldiers tested at the facility.

As of May 2, India recorded 37,336 cases of Covid-19, including 1,218 deaths. Delhi is one of the worst affected areas with 3,738 cases and 61 deaths.

13. Iran News:

Iranian Ministry of Health spokesman Kianush Jahanpur said the country on May 2 recorded 65 deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 6,156.

The total number of diagnosed cases of Covid-19 in Iran has reached 96,448, of which 2,787 are in critical condition. Iran is currently the country hardest hit by the Covid-19 pandemic in the Middle East.

14. Danish News:

Denmark has 443 deaths, starting to lift restrictions on April 15 by reopening schools for children up to 11, keeping distance and limiting the number of children per class. The country also reopened places like courts, salons and hairdressers on April 27.

15. The second wave of infection.

Việt Nam trong 16 ngày qua không có ca nhiễm trong cộng đồng.

Theo cập nhật từ Bộ Y tế, đến sáng nay 2 tháng 5, Việt Nam tiếp tục không nhận thêm ca mới, tổng số ca dương tính với Covid 19 vẫn là 270.

Đến nay đã có 219 người đã khỏi bệnh, còn 51 người đang điều trị tại 9 cơ sở y tế. Trong đó, số ca có kết quả xét nghiệm âm tính lần 1 là 9 ca, số ca có kết quả xét nghiệm âm tính 2 lần trở lên là 6 ca.

4. Tin Tây Ban Nha:

Tây Ban Nha là ổ dịch lớn nhất Châu Âu và lớn thứ 2 trên thế giới, ghi nhận đến sáng nay có tổng cộng 242.998 ca nhiễm và 24.862 ca tử vong, tăng lần lượt 3.648 và 281 ca trong vòng 24h qua.

Thủ tướng Tây Ban Nha Pedro Sanchez hôm 28 tháng 4 đã công bố một lộ trình gồm 4 giai đoạn để gỡ bỏ lệnh phong toả và đưa Tây Ban Nha ra khỏi cuộc chiến chống Covid 19. Dự kiến lộ trình này sẽ hoàn tất vào cuối tháng 6 năm 2020.

Trong ngày 1 tháng 5, sau khi 5 bệnh nhân cuối cùng được xuất viện, giới chức y tế Tây Ban Nha đã chính thức đóng cửa bệnh viện dã chiến lớn ở thủ đô Madrid.

Anh hiện đang là ổ dịch lớn thứ 4 trên thế giới với tổng cộng 177.454 ca nhiễm và 27.510 ca tử vong cao thứ 3 thế giới, tăng lần lượt 6.201 và 739 ca so với một ngày trước đó.

Bộ trưởng Y tế Anh Matt Hancock hôm qua tuyên bố rằng nước này đã đạt được mục tiêu tiến hành 100.000 xét nghiệm Covid 19 mỗi ngày và cho biết đây là một bước tiến cuối cùng tới việc dỡ bỏ các lệnh hạn chế ở nước này.

6. Tin Tây Ban Nha:

Bộ Y tế Tây Ban Nha cho biết, số ca tử vong do mắc Covid-19 ở nước này đã lên tới 25.100 người sau khi ghi nhận thêm 276 ca tử vong đêm qua.

Hiện tổng số ca mắc Covid-19 ở Tây Ban Nha đã tăng lên đến 216.582 người, so với con số 215.216 ca hôm 1 tháng 5.

Tây Ban Nha là một trong những nước bùng phát dịch bệnh Covid-19 mạnh nhất trên thế giới, song nước này đã qua đỉnh dịch và dần nới lỏng những hạn chế phong tỏa xã hội.

Nước này sẽ được phân chia thành các khu vực màu đỏ hoặc màu xanh khi lệnh phong tỏa được nới lỏng.

Việc phân chia phụ thuộc vào 3 tiêu chí: Thứ 1 là số các trường hợp mắc mới trong 7 ngày, thứ 2 là năng lực của các đơn vị chăm sóc tăng cường ở địa phương, thứ 3 là hiệu quả trong xét nghiệm và theo dõi tiếp xúc của bệnh nhân ở từng nơi.

8. Tin Ukraine:

Sáng 2 tháng 5, Bộ trưởng Y tế Ukraine Maxim Stepanov cho biết số trường hợp nhiễm Covid-19 trong 24 giờ qua đã tăng thêm 550 người, nâng tổng số ca nhiễm ở đây lên thành 11.411 người.

Trong vòng 1 ngày qua, Ukraine có 7 ca tử vong do Covid-19, nâng tổng số ca tử vong lên thành 279 người, trong khi có 85 bệnh người đã hồi phục, đưa tổng số ca khỏi bệnh lên thành 1.498 người.

Trong vòng 24h qua, Nga là điểm nóng mới ở Châu Âu ghi nhận thêm số ca nhiễm mới tăng kỉ lục thêm 7.933 ca và thêm 96 ca tử vong, nâng tổng số lên lần lượt 114.431 và 1.169 ca. Tổng thống Putin chiều 28 tháng 4 đã quyết định kéo dài thời hạn áp dụng các biện pháp duy trì giãn cách xã hội đến ngày 11 tháng 5.

Truyền thông Nga hôm 1 tháng 5 đưa tin, Bộ trưởng Vladimir Yakushev và cấp phó của ông, Thứ trưởng Dmitry Volkov đã xét nghiệm dương tính với Covid 19.

Trước đó một ngày, Thủ tướng Nga Mikhail Mishustin đã có xét nghiệm dương tính với virus cobvid 19. Tổng thống Nga Vladimir Putin nhanh chóng ký sắc lệnh bổ nhiệm Phó Thủ tướng thứ nhất Andrei Belousov làm người thay thế tạm thời.

10. Tin Singapore:

Singapore hiện đang là ổ dịch lớn nhất khu vực với tổng cộng 17.101 ca nhiễm và 16 ca tử vong . Một dấu hiệu tích cực là số ca nhiễm hàng ngày tại nước này đang có chiều hướng giảm trong những ngày qua.

Chính phủ nước này đã gia hạn kéo dài cách li xã hội tới ngày 1 tháng 6. Singapore đã quyết định kéo dài thời gian cách li toàn diện đối với tất cả lao động nước ngoài trong lĩnh vực xây dựng tại 43 khu nhà ở thêm 2 tuần, tới ngày 18 tháng 5.

11. Tin nước Đức: Cập nhật ngày 2 tháng 5.

Đức hiện đang là ổ dịch lớn thứ 5 tại Châu Âu và lớn thứ 6 trên thế giới với 164.077 ca nhiễm và 6.736 ca tử vong; tăng lần lượt 1.068 và 113 ca so với một ngày trước đó.

12. Tin  Ấn Độ:

Theo PTI ngày 2 tháng 5, 122 cảnh sát thuộc tiểu đoàn 31 Lực lượng cảnh sát dự bị trung ương (CRPF) Ấn Độ đóng tại Mayur Vihar, phía Đông thủ đô Delhi, có kết quả xét nghiệm dương tính với covid 19.

Nguồn lây nhiễm chính trong tiểu đoàn này được cho là 1 nhân viên điều dưỡng đã trở lại làm nhiệm vụ hôm 7 tháng 4 sau thời gian nghỉ phép và bộ phận y tế của CRPF chỉ yêu cầu cách ly 5 ngày so với thời hạn 14 ngày theo khuyến cáo của Bộ Y tế và Phúc lợi gia đình Ấn Độ.

Hiện vẫn chưa có kết quả xét nghiệm của 112 người trong tổng số 480 binh sĩ được xét nghiệm tại cơ sở này.

Tổng số ca được chẩn đoán mắc Covid-19 ở Iran đã lên tới 96.448 người, trong đó có 2.787 trường hợp đang trong tình trạng nguy kịch. Iran hiện là quốc gia bị ảnh hưởng nặng nề nhất bởi đại dịch Covid-19 ở khu vực Trung Đông.

14. Tin Đan Mạch:

Đan Mạch có 443 trường hợp tử vong, bắt đầu dỡ bỏ các hạn chế vào ngày 15 tháng 4 bằng cách mở lại các trường học cho trẻ em đến 11 tuổi, giữ khoảng cách và hạn chế số lượng trẻ em trên mỗi lớp. Quốc gia này cũng mở lại những nơi như tòa án, thẩm mỹ viện và thợ làm tóc vào 27 tháng 4.

15. Làn sóng lây nhiễm thứ hai.

Khi chính phủ các nước trên thế giới cân nhắc thời điểm dỡ bỏ lệnh phong tỏa đang làm tê liệt nền kinh tế toàn cầu, nỗi sợ hãi trong tâm trí nhiều người có thể được diễn tả trong 6 từ là làn sóng lây nhiễm thứ hai.

Theo Bloomberg, có một số khả năng có thể lí giải cho sự tái xuất của virus. Ở dịch cúm và cũng có thể là Covid 19, thời tiết mát mẻ thường là khởi đầu. Mầm bệnh cũng có thể đột biến. Các virus cúm gần như luôn luôn đột biến.

Phần lớn thế giới đang vật lộn để kiểm soát đợt lây nhiễm đầu tiên. Hầu hết các khu vực đã kiểm soát được dịch bệnh đều phải áp dụng lệnh hạn chế di chuyển nhằm làm chậm tốc độ lây lan của COVID-19.

Tuy nhiên, nhiều người dân có thể bị lây nhiễm một khi họ ngừng giãn cách xã hội và trở lại cuộc sống bình thường, làm tăng khả năng xảy ra làn sóng lây nhiễm thứ hai.

Vậy điều gì có thể ngăn chặn làn sóng lây nhiễm thứ hai?

Tổ chức Y tế Thế giới (WHO) đã khuyến nghị các nước nên nới lỏng lệnh phong tỏa theo từng giai đoạn nhằm từ từ đánh giá tính hiệu quả của các bước đi trước khi mở cửa đất nước ở qui mô lớn hơn.

Giới chức y tế thế giới cần phải tìm ra người nhiễm, cách li bệnh nhân và xác định các cá nhân mới tiếp xúc với họ, từ đó tiến hành xét nghiệm và cách li thêm các ca nghi nhiễm nếu cần thiết.

Cuối cùng, nhiều khả năng khi có đủ người dân tiếp xúc với COVID-19, hệ miễn dịch cộng đồng sẽ được hình thành và ngăn dịch bệnh lây lan, hoặc một loại vắc xin ngừa COVID-19 có thể sẽ được cấp phép.
