As of March 22 afternoon, the world recorded at least 307,652 people infected with the new strain of coronavirus with 13,501 cases of deaths. The deadly virus has now spread to 188 countries and territories around the globe.

Countries are racing against time to fight the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

1. More than a third of Americans, including residents of the three most populous cities of New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, are adjusting their lives to varying degrees of blockade to prevent the spread of the corona virus pathogen. More US states are expected to increase travel restrictions against Covid-19 in the near future.

2. Singapore Government today, March 22 announced an indefinite ban on all short-term visitors entering or transiting through the country, starting from March 23.

Singapore has had 432 cases of Covid-19, 2 died, 140 have recovered and still 14 are in critical condition due to the disease, as of March 22 afternoon.

3. In Thailand in the past 24 hours alone, the country has had 188 new cases of Covid-19, the highest increase in a day since the outbreak. As of March 22 afternoon, Thailand recorded a total of 599 cases positive for the new strain of corona virus.

4. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the National Health Service System (NHS) is in danger of being overloaded due to the strong outbreak of new strain of corona virus.

England  is also currently a hot spot for the Covid-19 epidemic in Europe. As of March 22, more than 5,000 people in the UK were infected with 233 deaths.

5. More than one billion Indians were ordered to stay indoors on March 22 to prevent the spread of the new strain of corona virus. The nationwide curfew lasted for 14 hours, from 7pm to 9pm on Sunday, when the number of virus-positive cases in the country has now increased to 332 people with 5 deaths.

6. On March 20, CNN reported that President Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump returned to the White House after having tested negative for COVID-19. On March 21, the press office of Mike Pence, Vice President of the United States announced the results of the COVID-19 test. Specifically, Mr. Mike and his wife had a negative result with COVID-19.

7. Italian health authorities confirmed that a group of Cuban medical specialists and 53 nurses were in Northern Lombardia province to help the European nation deal with COVID-19 caused by a new strain of corona virus.

8. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently announced it has authorized the use of a test kit that can detect new strain of Corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) causing COVID-19 within 45 minute. The above COVID-19 test kit is manufactured by California-based Cepheid and is called Xpert® Xpress SARS-CoV-2.

9. Canadian officials pleaded for those returning from the spring break to go home and quarantine for 14 days and then stay home indefinitely because public health officials worried about a wave of coronavirus infections.

10. Governor of Louisiana os US issued executive order to close all nonessential businesses. All personal care businesses will also be closed, including, but not limited to beauty salons, barber shops, spas, massage parlors and tattoo parlors.

8. Cơ quan quản lý Thực phẩm và Dược phẩm Mỹ (FDA) mới đây thông báo đã cho phép sử dụng bộ xét nghiệm có thể phát hiện virus Corona chủng mới (SARS-CoV-2) gây bệnh COVID-19 trong vòng 45 phút. Bộ xét nghiệm COVID-19 nói trên do công ty Cepheid, trụ sở tại bang California, chế tạo và được gọi là Xpert® Xpress SARS-CoV-2.
